Easter - Flowering of the Cross:

The Flowering of the Cross is a tradition that dates back to the 6th century. On Easter Sunday, members of St. John’s and all visitors are invited to bring a fresh flower to place on the bare wooden cross at the front of the church. This St. John’s tradition is a beautiful way to symbolize Christ’s resurrection - it visually represents eternal life we celebrate as Christians. During the Flowering of the Cross, we witness the very instrument of death transformed into a beautiful reminder of how God makes all things new. We invite all to participate in this wonderful Easter tradition.
